"Can the Liberal Arts Be Saved?" The author, Dr. Victor Ferrall, Jr. will be the guest speaker at the Fall Faculty Days on August 27, 2010. He was President of Beloit College from 1991-2000 and is publishing a book on liberal arts colleges that will be coming out later this year.

Associate Professor of Education, Luther College
This is my 33rd year in education. Prior to beginning at Luther, I was an elementary teacher, guidance counselor and principal. My wife, Jane, works as a media specialist in the North Winneshiek and Decorah Schools. My oldest son, Nathan, is a graduate student at UCLA and my youngest son, Ben, is a senior at St. Olaf College.
